What you should know about Gambia

ILLITERACY

These wonderful words are for an illiterate person just black spots on white paper...

Illiteracy is still a major problem for this country. Nearly 58% of Gambian people age 14 and older  can not read or write.

But as big as this problem is, we do have effective ways to help. Our organizations provide teachers who can help educate both children and adults. With a little help from you, we can spread hope for Gambia.

EMPLOYMENT

With illiteracy rates so high and lack of education, the employment rate of Gambia is only at 70%.

Education is the key to a successful and safe life. We just started offering courses and training, but with your help, we will be able to reach thousands more.

AGE

But what we do have, is the power of the youth. More than 60% of the citizens of Gambia are younger than the age of 30. And they want to grow, to learn and to build up their wonderful country.

INCOME

The average income of a  Gambia worker is around 50$/Eur per month. Even there that is poverty wages.

We take any chance to make our lives better.

INVEST

But as hard as life is in our beautiful country, we love it and we want to make it better.

Our organization invests in education, hardware, software, manufacturing, nursing, and many more projects.

With a little help from our friends all over the world, we can make Gambia a place that gives everyone a true reason to smile.
